Morale is getting much better and local farmers are looking forward into this new year with high hopes on a good crop to come. &nbsp;Sub soil moisture will make for some great crops. &nbsp;One good thing to come from these floods.</p> <p>The floods have taught me a lot about the importance of banding together in your community. &nbsp;Working for a common goal made everyone forget the small picture and miracles abounded, houses and towns saved.</p> <p>Our small contribution now, following the flood is trying to help people out with new floor coverings. &nbsp;What we have done is purchased a lot of carpet at a rebated price from a New Zealand carpet mill. &nbsp;The carpet is premium quality and is being sold for only $145 per lineal metre laid. &nbsp;</p> <p>If anyone out there feels it in their heart to assist by way of donation, we can pass on the details of someone needing assistance.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>Sun, 13 Mar 2011 00:00:00 -1100http://www.ruralblinds.com/news/other-side-of-the-floods/
